CONSULAR OUTREACH PROGRAMS

In order to expand the coverage and raise the effectiveness of providing consular services the Consulate General of Russia in Houston has launched a series of Consular Outreach Programs targeting population of several major metropolitan areas within its consular district. Such programs are conducted on by-appointment-only basis and require preliminary preparatory coordination with the Consulate General and receipt of confirmation of appointment stipulating the time of the meeting with the consular official.

• Appointments are requested by completing and sending to the Consulate General an appropriate form by e-mail, or by fax (713) 337-3305, with a reference note: “Consular Outreach”.

• Upon receiving the request consular official of respective expertise contacts the applicant using the information provided on the form and conducts preliminary investigation and elaboration of the issue.

• Once the appointment is confirmed the applicant receives a notification indicating the time of the meeting with the consular official.

If the dates of the next Consular Outreach Program in your city have not yet been set, or if your city is not covered by a Consular Outreach Program at all, but there is a substantial need for consular services (no less than 30 simultaneous applicants), you may request such services by raising the matter in your letter to Consul General sent to the following address:
